Trango Tower expedition is an ultimate mountaineering journey. Trango Tower is a 6,286 meter high mountain, which is located north of Baltoro Glacier in the Karakoram Mountains range of Pakistan. Trango Tower offer some of the largest cliffs and most challenging rock climbing, every year a number of expeditions from around the world visit Karakoram to climb this difficult granite.
We are offering Trango Tower expedition with including logistic services until Trango Tower base camp. The Climbing duration may be longer or shorter depending on the client’s experience and ability.

The Trango Tower Expedition is an incredible journey that takes you to one of the most iconic rock formations in the world, located in the Karakoram Range of Pakistan. Standing at 6,286 meters, the Trango Towers are famous for their dramatic vertical cliffs, making them a sought-after destination for climbers with a sense of adventure. The East Face of the Great Trango Tower is known for being one of the largest nearly vertical rock walls in the world—truly a mountaineer’s dream.
This expedition is not for the faint of heart. The first ascent of the Trango Towers was made in 1977 by Galen Rowell and his team, but even today, it remains a significant challenge for climbers due to the technical skills required. As you make your way toward the base camp, you’ll trek through the Baltoro Glacier, surrounded by towering peaks like K2 and Nanga Parbat, each offering breathtaking views.

Itinerary –Trango Tower Expedition
On arrival at Islamabad, we’ll transfer to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, we will take a guided tour around Rawalpindi and Islamabad. You can explore Daman-e-Koh, which offers panoramic views of the city, or visit the Faisal Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Asia. You’ll also have the chance to stroll through the Lok Virsa Museum or explore the vibrant markets in Rawalpindi.
We’ll head to the airport for a scenic flight to Skardu. If the weather permits, the flight offers spectacular views of the Karakoram Range and peaks like Nanga Parbat. If the weather is unfavourable, we will travel by road to Skardu, with an overnight stop at Chilas for rest.
This is a rest and preparation day in Skardu. You can explore the town and visit nearby attractions like Shangrila Resort or Skardu Fort. The day will be spent checking gear, buying any last-minute supplies, and briefing the team for the trek ahead.
Today, we’ll drive towards Askoli, the last village in the valley. This journey takes us along the mighty Indus River, passing through the Shigar and Braldu Rivers. As we enter Askoli, you’ll experience the changing landscapes that lead us into the wilderness of the Karakoram Mountains.
The trek begins! We’ll start our hike from Askoli towards Jhula, crossing bridges and rocky paths along the way. The trek offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. You’ll get your first real taste of the rugged terrain that defines this region.
We continue our trek from Jhula to Paiyu, a beautiful campsite located along the Baltoro Glacier. This part of the journey is marked by dramatic views of towering peaks like Paiyu Peak and Uli Biaho Tower. The trek is challenging but incredibly rewarding as you begin to approach the vast glacier that will lead us closer to Trango Tower.
Today, we trek for 6-7 hours towards Trango Base Camp. The journey takes us along the Baltoro Glacier, offering awe-inspiring views of the surrounding peaks. As we approach the base camp, the towering Trango Towers come into view, marking the beginning of the challenging climb ahead. After a well-deserved rest, we’ll settle in for the night at the base camp, where you’ll have an opportunity to acclimatize to the high altitude.
These are the climbing days of the expedition. For the next 18 days, we will focus on acclimatization, rock climbing, and attempting to reach the summit of Trango Tower. The days will be intense, with technical climbing on vertical rock faces and exposure to high-altitude conditions. Each climber’s progress will depend on their experience and fitness level, but rest assured, the team will provide all the support you need to succeed.
During these days, you will have a chance to experience one of the most challenging climbs in the world, surrounded by the majesty of the Karakoram Range.
After completing the climbing portion of the expedition, we’ll begin our descent. The trek from Trango Base Camp to Monjung Camp offers a chance to relax and reflect on the climb while taking in the scenic beauty of the mountains. The hike will take a few hours, allowing us to adjust back to a lower altitude.
From Monjung, we’ll trek back to Askoli. The return journey is less demanding but still presents its share of challenges as we retrace our steps through the rugged terrain. We’ll reach Askoli by evening, where we can unwind and prepare for the next phase of our journey.
Today, we return to Skardu. The journey offers spectacular views as we pass through the dramatic landscapes of the Indus Valley. Once in Skardu, you’ll have time to rest, recuperate, and reflect on the success of the expedition.
We travel by bus from Skardu to Islamabad. Along the way, we will stop at Chilas for an overnight stay. On the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Taxila Museum, an important historical site that showcases ancient Gandhara civilization relics. It’s a perfect way to unwind after the expedition.
A day of rest and leisure in Islamabad. You can use this time to explore the city at your own pace, visit the Pakistan Monument, or shop for souvenirs. It’s also a great opportunity to relax after the physically demanding expedition.
After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to the Islamabad Airport for your flight home. With your journey to Trango Tower complete, you’ll leave with unforgettable memories of one of the most exciting climbs in the world.
