Today, we took an early morning flight to Skardu, a town in Karakoram’s heart. If the flight is cancelled due to weather conditions, we will drive along the scenic Karakoram Highway (KKH) to reach Skardu.

We will drive from Skardu to Askole, the starting point of our trek. Askole is a small, remote village and the gateway to some of the most famous treks in Karakoram, including the K2 Base Camp and Biafo Glacier.
