Important Notes
Why Should You Register Early?
-
- Team Building: It takes time to assemble a well-balanced and experienced team of climbers. Our priority is always the safety of the group, so we carefully review all applications to select the best climbers based on experience.
- Logistics: Managing climbing expeditions involves significant logistics, including reserving high-altitude porters and procuring necessary equipment months in advance. Late registrations make it difficult to ensure timely transportation of supplies to base camps.
- Permit Requirements: The Pakistani government requires that all climbing permit applications (including documents like passport copies and photos) be submitted at least 70 days before arrival. Early registration helps us ensure compliance with these rules.
- Domestic Flights: Skardu flights during peak season fill up quickly. We recommend early registration to ensure a spot on domestic flights, as there are limited flights available during the peak climbing season.
- Price Changes: Prices are based on early bird discounts and are subject to change after January. Service providers, including hotels, often increase prices during peak season (May to September). By registering early, you lock in the current prices and avoid potential increases later.
Refund Policy
- Deposit: Once the deposit is paid, it is non-refundable as it covers in-country arrangements such as logistics, procurement of equipment (e.g., oxygen sets), food supplies, and the hiring of staff/Sherpas.
- Balance: All balances are due 120 days before your arrival in Pakistan. If the balance is not received by this deadline, participants risk forfeiting their place and funds. No refunds will be provided for deposit or balance payments. This policy applies to situations including, but not limited to, summit attempts cut short due to weather, route conditions, manpower issues, or other factors beyond the control of Apricot Tours.
Currency
All payments for international climbers must be made in US Dollars (USD) or equivalent Euro or Pound sterling GBP
Other Notes
- Deposits should only be made after filling out the registration form and receiving confirmation from Apricot Tours.
- Due to government and operator permit costs, Apricot Tours adheres to a strict refund policy.
- Participants leaving an expedition early for any reason are not entitled to refunds.
- We highly recommend trip cancellation insurance for all expeditions to cover unforeseen events.
Deposit Schedule:
Deposits are required as follows:
- 8 months before departure: 35% deposit
- 6 months before departure: 40% deposit
- 5 months before departure: 50% deposit
- 4 months before departure: Full payment due
