At Baltoro Adventures, we are committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent experience for our clients. Our refund policy is designed to accommodate unforeseen circumstances while maintaining fairness. Please read the following carefully to understand the terms regarding refunds for our adventure and trekking services, including expeditions to K2, Broad Peak, and other mountains.

1. Booking and Payment

– A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required at the time of booking to confirm your spot.
– The remaining balance must be paid 20 days before the start of the expedition.

2. Cancellation by Client

If you need to cancel your booking, the following refund policy will apply:
– Cancellation 60 days or more before the expedition: Full refund, minus the non-refundable deposit.
– Cancellation 30 to 59 days before the expedition: 50% refund of the total amount paid.
– Cancellation less than 30 days before the expedition: No refund will be provided.

3. Cancellation by Baltoro Adventures

In the unlikely event that we cancel the trek or expedition due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., political instability, natural disasters, or unsafe conditions):
– A full refund will be provided, including the deposit, or
– You may choose to reschedule your trek or receive a credit voucher for future use.

4. No Show

If you fail to arrive on the scheduled date without prior notice, no refund will be issued.

5. Changes to Itinerary

If changes to the itinerary are necessary due to external factors (e.g., weather conditions, government regulations), we will do our best to offer alternative options. However, no refund will be provided if the changes are beyond our control.

6. Refund Process

– Refunds will be processed within 20 days of cancellation confirmation.
– Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
– Any transaction fees associated with refunds (e.g., bank fees, currency exchange charges) will be borne by the client.

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations, medical emergencies, or trip interruptions. For detailed information about insurance and other important considerations, please read our blog.

8. Force Majeure

In case of force majeure events (natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, etc.), refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the event and local regulations.
